The Free TV Guide
Since 1929 people have been intrigued with the television. Over the years we have seen TV go from black and white to full color to high definition. Yes, there certainly has been many changes over the past 80 years of television.
Perhaps the most interesting changes have come in the past 10 years or so. In the beginning, the television set was a big console that adorned the living rooms of those lucky enough to afford them. They were mostly set in a wooden and decorative casing and were very heavy. Viewers would have to walk over to the television set to change the channel, turn the volume up or down as well as switch the set on or off. After several years of this we were introduced to the remote control, now life was made much easier.
As the years went on, we saw smaller televisions and larger ones. Big screen televisions were on the rise and the antennas that we once had to go outside to move around until we received a great reception were replaced with cable and satellite.
Soon there were millions who would become obsessed with acquiring the best plasma TV that money could buy. This all changed when high definition came in to offer big flat screens that now are mounted on the walls of thousands of people around the world.
The ever changes evolution of the television is not stopping there. We can enjoy television on the internet and on our cell phones as well. We no longer have to miss our favorite shows due to a poor reception or the fact that we are not at home to be glued in front of the TV.
There are even websites that we can sign up with that will allow us to enjoy free TV watching on the internet. This is a very interesting concept because the more the cost of living goes up the more we are all becoming busier and busier with our lives. These free internet TV channels are a godsend for many people around the world.
Busy or not, into television or not, there is something for everyone in today’s world of television entertainment. In fact there are some who are considering the future as they develop eye implants so that our favorite television shows will be right on our eyeballs. Of course there are many who feel this is going a little too far and maybe they are right. However, technology today is growing more and more and the most we can do is hope to be able to keep up.
In the end it is all going to depend upon whether or not you are interested in the latest and the greatest or if you only wish to watch television the simple way. There is a lot to be said for simple because most of the time the only thing we really want is to be able to watch our favorite television shows easily and without much hassle.
